The yeti stands on the bottom of a mountain ice cliff with its weapon ready to swing. As you click the screen a penguin drops from the top of the cliff. The object of the game is then to hit the penguin with your weapon as far as possible.
In the original version of the game your yeti has a bat to hit the penguin. As you hit the penguin it flies, and depending on its landing it will either take a nosedive into the ground or bounce or simply slide into a stop. Along the way there are yard marks to allow you to see how far the penguin is going.
In the yeti sports game Bloody you have a dagger as a weapon. After hitting the penguin there are land mines along the way to assist you. If the penguin hits one of the landmines, it bounces further to increase your distance. There are several land mines along the way and they are spread out in no particular length.
The main strategy to this game is determining the specific angle you need to hit the penguin. If you connect at a certain angle the penguin will go the furthest or hit the land mine directly to increase your distance.
